Other Ensembles

At present only three chamber music ensembles bear the name "Gewandhaus," conferred by the Music Director.
In addition to these three groups, however, many other Gewandhaus Orchestra musicians participate in a wide variety of chamber music ensembles. Some of these ensembles are composed exclusively of Gewandhaus Orchestra members; others are "mixed" ensembles in which Gewandhaus musicians perform together with colleagues from the region.
