Mendelssohn Hall is a multifunctional auditorium equipped for orchestra concerts, chamber music, choral concerts, recitals, readings, congresses, meetings, symposia, presentations, events with simple scenic requirements and banquets.

The 498-seat hall is fully air-conditioned. The 100-square-metre stage has 44 adjustable platforms (minimum height 25 cm, maximum 150 cm). A projection screen measuring 10.5 m by 6.5 m is concealed behind sliding panels at the front of the hall. There is a flybar in the stage area, and point hoists and suspension points for microphones in the ceiling offer lighting and sound individually tailored to each event.

The technical facilities also include a sound production studio, public address system, connections for outside broadcast units and interpreters' booths.

Mendelssohn Hall offers barrier-free access for guests with disabilities and wheelchair users, and the hall is fitted with hearing aid induction loops.

Although Mendelssohn Hall and the Great Hall are self-contained spaces, they are linked via the house foyer and can be used together.
