Great Hall

The Great Hall is known for its excellent acoustics and is well equipped for concerts and other high-profile events. The fully air-conditioned hall provides amphitheatre-style seating for 1,900 listeners. The Schuke Organ is located at the front of the hall. The organ loft can be converted to accommodate a chorus of up to 300 singers.

The 180-square-metre stage has 20 adjustable risers (maximum height: 1 metre) and a piano lift. The hall is equipped with auxiliary and effect lighting. Point hoists and suspension points for rigging and microphones in the ceiling offer lighting and sound individually tailored to each event. The technical facilities also include a sound production studio, public address system, separate studio space for mobile equipment and connections for outside broadcast units.

The Great Hall offers barrier-free access for guests with disabilities and wheelchair users, including wheelchair seating and wheelchair-accessible passenger lifts. The hall is also fitted with induction loops for hearing aid users.
