Main Foyer

All the public areas in the Gewandhaus are connected via the foyers. The Main Foyers are spread over three levels.

With an area of approximately 2,400 square metres, the first level is an ideal setting for banquets, informational events, press conferences and exhibitions. Together with the second and third levels, it can accommodate 2,000 persons. The space offers flexible arrangement of tables and chairs tailored to the event. Sound support is provided by mobile equipment connected with the house studios.

The cloakroom for the Great Hall is located on the first level. Public access to the underground garage is near the main entrance to the foyer.
