The "Decca Concerts" series makes selected concerts from current seasons available online that are not on the market in CD format yet .The series was launched with a live recording of a Grand Concert by the Gewandhaus Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Chailly, featuring legendary pianist Martha Argerich performing Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, op. 5.
The following works, which have already been released on CD, are also available online from iTunes:
- Symphonies No. 2 and No. 4 by Robert Schumann
- Mendelssohn's "Hymn of Praise "
- Violin Concertos by Bruch and Mendelssohn
In order to purchase recordings from iTunes software is required that allows you to view the complete range of music offered by iTunes and download it to your computer. The iTunes software also enables you to play back the works purchased, transfer them to an MP3 player and archive them.
